TCU alumna Jennifer Fuller was awarded a Milken Educator Award and $25,000 cash prize last week during the Milken Family Foundation’s national tour, which honors outstanding educators each year.
Fuller earned a bachelor’s degree in English from TCU in 2001, followed by a Master of Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, and currently teaches English and language arts at Arlington Collegiate High School in Arlington.
Milken Educators Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley praised Fuller as “a master of curriculum, who puts a laser focus on depth and critical thinking—skills her students need to transition to college and career.” She added that “the high expectations Fuller holds are reflected in the student achievement growth she sees regularly.”
The Milken Educator Awards, the nation’s preeminent teacher recognition program, are designed to attract, retain and motivate outstanding talent to the teaching profession.
Arlington Collegiate High School, a partnership with Tarrant County College, serves students who would not otherwise consider attending college the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and up to an associate’s degree in four years.
