Marketing professor and former interim dean Bill Moncrief steps into the new position to promote excellence in teaching and research.
Out of several exceptional candidates, Bill Moncrief, the Charles F and Alann P Bedford Professor of International Business, was appointed senior associate dean for academic affairs for an initial three-year term beginning August 1, 2018.
As associate dean of academic affairs, Moncrief is responsible for providing academic leadership, coordination and oversight for matters related to the TCU Neeley School of Business’ academic affairs. Moncrief will collaborate with Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs Ray Pfeiffer and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs David Allen.
Moncrief will serve as a resource for faculty development in the areas of teaching effectiveness and research productivity. He also is responsible for ensuring the alignment of academic programs in the Neeley School with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and pursuit of excellence.

Moncrief brings to the position more than 25 years of outstanding administrative service. He has served as department chair, associate dean for undergraduate programs and interim dean. He is an outstanding teacher, having been awarded numerous teaching awards both at TCU and nationally. He is an accomplished scholar with more than 70 publications. He has been honored with the American Marketing Association’s Sales and Sales Management Lifetime Achievement Award and the TCU Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Achievement as a Creative Teacher and Scholar.
