Texas Christian University alumnus Bob Schieffer will be on hand for a post-election, pre-inauguration Q&A session as he examines the voter frustrations of the 2016 presidential campaign and discusses Washington’s ability to change. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in Room 141 of the J.M. Moudy Visual Arts and Communication Building North, 2805 South University Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
Schieffer, a legendary CBS news anchor, has won virtually every award in broadcast journalism and is one of the few reporters in Washington to have covered all four major beats: Congress, the Pentagon, the White House and the State Department. He has an honorary doctorate from TCU and is the namesake of the Bob Schieffer College of Communication.
The College comprises four departments: communication studies; film, television and digital media; journalism; and strategic communication. Through a mixture of lecture-style and hands-on, in-the-field curricula, the college offers experiences that prepare students for success in today’s global communication environment.
