Big 12 champions TCU will face off against No. 9 Ole Miss in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Ga. on Dec. 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (EST) at the Georgia Dome, and the game will be televised live on ESPN.
The Peach Bowl is one of elite “New Year’s Six” bowl games in the new College Football Playoff structure.
This is only the seventh time in the schools’ histories that TCU (11-1) and Ole Miss (9-3) have played each other. The last time the two teams met on the gridiron was 1983. Two of the six previous matchups came in bowl games: the 1948 Delta Bowl and the 1956 Cotton Bowl.
This year’s Peach Bowl also marks the 30th bowl appearance in TCU history, and will be the first time the Frogs have played in the state of Georgia since 1988.
It has been an impressive season for Frog football, culminating with a 55-3 blowout over the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday that clinched the title of Big 12 Champions. TCU finished sixth in the nation according to the AP Poll, Coaches Poll and College Football Playoff (CFP) Rankings.
