Eunice and James L. West Chair in Marketing
Dr. Houston returns to TCU after serving the past few years as department head and Foreman R. and Ruby Bennett Chair in Business Administration at Texas A&M University. Coauthor of the forthcoming book, Entertainment Science, his research on marketing and innovation strategy, inter-firm relationship management and motion picture success has been published in Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others. Dr. Houston has been honored with numerous teaching awards, including TCU’s university-wide Deans’ Award for Research and Creativity in 2012. He is a member of the board of the American Marketing Association. He holds a BS from Southwest Baptist University, MBA from the University of Missouri and Ph.D. from Arizona State University.
J. Neeley Professor of Management
Dr. Waller’s expertise covers organizational behavior, including team dynamics, interaction and effectiveness; crisis management in organizations; and human factors in complex technological systems.
She has won numerous teaching awards, and her latest research was honored at the 2017 Academy of Management meeting with the Best Paper Award from Group & Organization Management. Her research has been published in Organizational Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Journal and Academy of Management Review, among others. She most recently was a professor of management at York University. She holds a BBA in petroleum land management from the University of Oklahoma, MS in information systems from the University of Colorado and Ph.D. in organizational science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship
Dr. Anglin areas of expertise cover entrepreneurship, new venture financing and entrepreneurial decision making. His research has been published in the Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice and The Leadership Quarterly. He has several years of experience as a certified financial planner. He holds BS in business administration and master of entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University, MS in economics from North Carolina State University and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma.
Assistant Professor of Accounting
Dr. Chen’s expertise covers earnings quality, market efficiency and accounting conservatism. He has been published in The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research and more. He previously taught at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Houston. He holds a BS in accounting from Fudan University, MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Ph.D. from the University of Houston.
Assistant Professor of Finance
Dr. Grieser’s expertise includes corporate finance, panel data econometrics, intangible investment and financing constraints. He previously was assistant professor at Tulane University and was honored with a teaching award while pursuing his Ph.D. at Michigan State University. He holds a BBA in finance and BS in applied mathematics from Texas State University and Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
Assistant Professor of Strategy
Dr. Harrison’s expertise covers behavioral and psychological processes among firm leadership, corporate governance and strategic entrepreneurship. His research has been published in Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Business Ethics and Harvard Business Review online edition. He won several awards for outstanding teaching and research as a doctoral student. He holds a BS from the University of Richmond and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Alex Ning Li
Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior
Dr. Li’s expertise covers team leadership, team adaptation and employee proactivity in team contexts. His research has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Organizational Behavior. He won a doctoral award for academic achievement and teaching award from the University of Maryland. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
Assistant Professor of Accounting
Dr. Lusch is an expert on federal, state and local taxation, and tax policy. His research has been published in The Accounting Review, Journal of the American Taxation Association, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, and Journal of Management Accounting Research. He previously taught at the University of Kansas. Dr. Lusch is a proud TCU alumnus with a BBA in accounting from the Neeley School of Business. He holds an MS from the University of Notre Dame and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance
Dr. Ren’s expertise covers monetary economics, mutual fund investment and financial institutions. She previously worked for E-Trade, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Invesco. She holds a BBA in finance and mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and MA and Ph.D. in economics from Emory University.
