In a recently released ranking of university marketing departments across the U.S., TCU’s Neeley School of Business ranked 6th in the U.S. out of 39 ranked schools, based on the number of articles faculty members have had accepted and published in the Journal of Marketing over the past five years.
“This ranking is especially impressive given the small size of our department compared to most of the large public schools on the list,” Bill Moncrief, chair of the marketing department, said.
The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business tops the ranking, with 14 articles published in five years, followed by Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business, University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, Indiana University at Bloomington’s Kelley School of Business and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. TCU’s Neeley School of Business is tied with the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business at sixth place with seven articles published. TCU is the only private school in the top 10.
Established in 1936, Journal of Marketing has been the recognized leader in its field for more than seven decades. The publication is positioned as the premier, broad-based, scholarly journal of the marketing discipline that focuses on substantive issues in marketing and marketing management.
