Nutritional Sciences Students Help Educate Families about Healthy Eating Habits

The Department of Nutritional Sciences has teamed up with the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) to better the community through various initiatives that educate low-income families about healthy eating habits.

Lyn Dart, associate professor and food management program director, cultivated the relationship with TAFB nearly 15 years ago and formed the Supervised Practice Experience program, which allows dietetic students to use their knowledge to educate others about what they should eat to maintain good health.
