PianoTexas brings renowned pianists to campus

The 36th annual PianoTexas International Academy & Festival, presented by the TCU School of Music in collaboration with The Cliburn, brings world-renowned pianists to TCU’s campus through June 17. The complete schedule of events and highlights of performers are available at PianoTexas. Admission is free and open to the public.

Designed to integrate the music profession, the halls of academia and the Fort Worth community, PianoTexas comprises young artists, teachers and amateur musicians who perform together in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This year’s event features more than a dozen artists, including Fabio Bidini, winner of both the Busoni and Van Cliburn International competitions, Arnaldo Cohen, touted by many professionals as “one of the world’s greatest living pianists,” and Christopher Elton, winner of the highest performing award of the Royal Academy of Music in London, among others.

The PianoTexas Academy has provided a high-level educational opportunity for outstanding pre-college and college piano students, teachers and adult amateurs since 1981. Guest artists impart musical insights and understanding of the professional music world to talented young pianists and present unique programs for dedicated teachers and passionate amateurs.
