Putting Our Names on the Future of Business at TCU

TCU Neeley leaders, faculty, staff, honored guests and the Linbeck Construction crew signed their names on the final beam for the new building at a special ceremony.

Honored guests Marlene Hays and daughter Mary Alice Hughes joined O. Homer Erekson, the John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business, to sign the final beam before it is put into place for the Spencer and Marlene Hays Business Commons.

Faculty, staff, supporters, members of the International Board of Visitors and the Linbeck Construction crew joined the celebration luncheon and lined up to put their signatures on the beam to leave their mark on TCU and the future.

The beam was painted white for the occasion. In true Horned Frog style, everyone signed with purple markers.

The final beam in the steel structure will be put in place in mid-June for the topping out.

The expected completion date for Hays Hall and Sumpter Hall is January 2020. The two new halls will wrap around Tandy Hall and connect to Smith Hall. All four connected buildings will make up the Spencer and Marlene Hays Business Commons.
